DR. TALYA EVE RIEMER
EdD, Senior Partner
Dr. Talyia Eve Riemer is a lifelong learner who has made education her passion and purpose. After earning a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education from Western Illinois University, she went on to earn a Master's Degree from Olivet Nazarene University, and then a Doctorate in Curriculum and Instruction from Loyola University Chicago in 2004. Her passion for education led her to achieve National Board Certification in Teaching, and attend the University of Chicago and The American College of Education for her post-doctoral studies in Administration, Educating Second Language Learners, and Middle School Mathematics. For over 20 years, she served as a middle school teacher and Curriculum Specialist for Chicago Public Schools. In 2013, began working with the CPS Department of Teaching and Learning as a Framework Specialist, a role through which she designed and delivered professional development. In 2014, Talyia began teaching courses to aspiring young teachers at both DePaul University Chicago and Dominican University. In 2016, she transitioned into a new role as the International Baccalaureate Programme Coordinator and Assistant Principal of Helen C. Peirce School of International Studies.
Talyia currently serves as the Director of Placement and Alumni Relations for the Golden Apple Foundation.

CASSY JERRELLE RIEMER

Cassy Riemer graduated with honors from the University of New Orleans, earning a Bachelor of Science in Biology in 2009. As a worthy complement for her focus on Secondary Education, Cassy elected to earn an additional certification in Special Education, with an emphasis on Mild/Moderate Disabilities. Upon graduation, Cassy creatively utilized her education background to further her career in the hospitality industry, beginning as a line cook and earning the title of General Manager by the age 35. In this capacity, she was able to put her teaching and curriculum knowledge to work by creating, developing, delivering differentiated training programs for employees with varying levels of experience. Cassy’s current educational endeavors include supporting the learning of her own two children with gifted designations and most recently serving as co-director for a blended summer camp, providing a hybrid service delivery model for children ages six through thirteen. The camp’s virtual and in-person offerings included Black History, Fun with ASL, Arts & Crafts, fitness classes, public speaking and performance workshops.
